Dunnet Head, Caithness
Scotland

At 58 degrees north, Dunnet Head is the most northerly point on the UK mainland. The peninsula at the western end of the Pentland Firth has clear views across to Orkney. At the northern tip, called Easter Head, is a Stevenson-built lighthouse dating from 1831. The area is now a nature reserve largely inhabited by sea birds taking advantage of the rugged cliffs.
