West Fork Dry Canyon, Trail BC109, 4 wheelers Having Lunch
Crawling the BC109 trail up the West Fork Dry Canyon riverbed in Lockwood Valley It's just an easy day of getting out and having fun wheeling. Here's a group of 4 wheelers headed up one of the side canyons to enjoy a nice lunch break under some of the shady pines. This is a very interesting canyon. It's a lot of fun in a 4X4, and most of it is pretty easy for a 4X4. It is not very shaded, so bring plenty of water if you are hiking in. The last half of the canyon is the Chumash Wilderness Border. If you want to take your vehicle into some of the small off-shoot canyons, please do so only to the West, otherwise you'll be going into the designated wilderness. Dome Springs campgrounds is a short distance away, but there's no water at the camp so make sure to bring plenty.
