Isola di San Pietro, Tonnare

View of the large and famous "tonnare" in the north-eastern coast of San Pietro Island.

In the distance two little islands: Isola Piana (where the second tonnara is) and Isola dei Ratti.

The tuna fishing in tonnare is an ancient rite that repeates every year in mai-june.
