The ruins of Capel Lligwy, Anglesey

The remains of a simple chapel, near Rhos Lligwy on the east coast of Anglesey, North Wales. The stone structure is believed to have replaced a timber-built Celtic church on the same site. It was erected during the early 12th century following the cessation of Viking raids on Anglesey.
