The Mon Wooden Bridge in Songkla Buri
Thailand

The view over Sangkhla, from the southern end of the Mon wooden bridge. This is the centre of the Mon tribe community, always crowded with locals and tourists. The border to Myanmar is a few kilometers away (Three Pagoda Pass).

This view covers where three rivers meet. The activity on and in the water is quite amazing. The houses on pontoons - often just made from bamboo - are constantly moved around, and longtail boats criss crossing the waters, and taking tourists to the sunken temple (which can barely be seen in the far distance of this picture). Local kids dive from the bridges and laughter is heard everywhere.
