John Ford Point in Monument Valley
Named for Hollywood director John Ford. He made ten movies in Monument Valley, beginning with Stagecoach in 1939, starring John Wayne, and culminating with The Searchers in 1956. It is a popular viewpoint, with jewelry for sale, and a horse and Navajo men and women in traditional costume who will pose for pictures.
