Khortytsia, Naumova gully

In riverbed  the Old Dnepr there was an ancient river crossing near the beam Naumova, which was probably well known to the Scythians.

During the Russian-Turkish war of 1735-1739 years. On the right bank of the Dnieper was opened the dockyard. It was located at the opposite side to the gully Naumova. Vice-Admiral Nahum Seniavin was managing engineering and construction works at the dockyard. In 1738, Vice Admiral died because of plague and was buried at the Cossacks cemetery.
