Grafenau - Brudersbrunn Kapelle
Germany

Saga about Brudersbrunn:

Once upon a time there were three countesses who had to go to war. Many years had passed since they left their dear parents and the lovely home. Then a hiker came tired, hungry, and thirsty through a forest. His face was sunburnt, the clothes bad, torn. He eagerly sought for berries to satisfy his hunger and for a spring to quench his thirst. He also found what he was looking for. Behind the thick undergrowth, there muttered and bubbled, and purple strawberries laughed all around. The hiker relaxed and stretched the tired limbs in the shade of an oak tree to rest from the hardships of the hiking. Not long, however, and another hiker of the way came, and another, tired, hungry, and thirsty like him. His faces had also tanned the sun, and her clothes were no better than his own. When this also strengthened itself at the source, it was a telling: Where from, where and what experienced? What a wonderful coincidence! The three hiker were the countesses who had gone to war years before. When they had recognized each other, they fell on each other's neck and were crying. Before they set out to go home together, they vowed to build a chapel here at the spring, where God brought them together so unexpectedly, and they kept their word. This chapel, which bears the name "Brudersbrunn" and is dedicated to the Holy Trinity, is about half an hour from Grafenau and is a much-visited place of pilgrimage.

More About Germany

Germany? Before the beginning there was Ginnungagap, an empty space of nothingness, filled with pure creative power. (Sort of like the inside of my head.)And it ends with Ragnarok, the twilight of the Gods. In between is much fighting, betrayal and romance. Just as a good Godly story should be.Heroes have their own graveyard called Valhalla. Unfortunately we cannot show you a panorama of it at this time, nor of the lovely Valkyries who are its escort service.Hail Odin, wandering God wielding wisdom and wand! Hail Freya, hail Tyr, hail Thor!Odin made the many lakes and the fish in them. In his traverses across the lands he caused there to be the Mulheim Bridge in Cologne, as did he make the Mercury fountain, Mercury being of his nature. But it is to the mighty Thor that the Hammering Man gives service.Between the time of the Nordic old ones and that of modern Frankfort there may have been a T.Rex or two on the scene. At least some mastodons for sure came through for lunch, then fell into tar pits to become fossils for us to find. And there we must leave you, O my most pure and holy children.Text by Steve Smith.
