Rossio Marquês de Pombal is considered by many to be the largest and most beautiful square in the country. It is the great “visiting room” of the city, as it is the great meeting point between local people and those who visit us. This square is surrounded by an architectural and historical heritage of great value, such as the Church of São Francisco, the Convento dos Congregados, the Convento das Maltezas, Café Águias d ’Ouro or Lago do Gadanha.
