This panorama shows the Suworow monument, close to the town of Andermatt in the Swiss Alps.  The monument was constructed in 1898 next to the Devil's bridge, also in the panorama, to commemorate the battle between Russian General Suworow and his troops and the French troops under Napoleon in September 1799 on and around the bridge.   You can find more information on the background and details of the battle and the bridge on the official Andermatt website.
