Photo captured 7/23/2015 on a backpacking trip to the High Sierra. Precipice Lake is famous for being one of Ansel Adams' favorite and most famous locations for photography, and it's clear to see why. The ever-changing Sierra light renders varying colors on this iconic lake, even during the 30 minutes that I held on near the placid surface of the lake, incoming clouds shifted the lake from a deep blue to a shifting translucent green.
