Iron has been produced at Löa since the 15th century. The production ended in 1907. The old mill has been restored to its 1890 state. In contrary to many other mills, which were sold to big companies in the 18 hundreds, the Löa mill stayed in private ownership. The owner association, "hyttelaget", actually still exists today.
