Elabuga. Japanese cemetery

The monument to the Japanese who have died on this earth With thoughts on the world in memory of those who, resting hopes of homecoming, has died on this earth after the Second World War in 1945-1956, was erect this monument. On October, 30th, 2000 from the Government of Japan.

Only 87 burial places was on the Japanese cemetery in Elabuga. In September 2000 according to the international agreement, on the Japanese cemetery in Elabugа gathering of remains of the Japanese prisoners of war, their cremation was spent. Soon ashes of those who has been buried in Elabuge, have sent in Japan, and on this place was erected a monument from white marble. The cliche for this inscription in the Japanese language was executed by Aizawa Hideyuki, who was captive in Elabuga in 1945-1948.
