I had seen this shelter, which has been made out of drift wood collected from the beach the previous day. I really wanted to get a shot at sunrise as someone had thoughtfully made the door point to the east. I wanted the light to be shining right into the doorway. Shelters of this type seem to be quite common in New Zealand, but I still don’t know why they are made. My best guess is, just for fun.
