A plaque in Latin on the sidewall of this middle age single-arch stone bridge in Dolcedo, an Italian village surrounded by olive trees, states that it was built in 1292 by the Knights of Malta. Still today, after almost 730 years of continuous use, this handwork (also known as "Dolcedo's Great Bridge") proudly faces the centuries.
