Photo captured 5/30/2015 on the culmination of our trip to Diamond Peak in Kings Canyon National Park. The arduous climb up from Summit Meadow this morning was well worth the sweeping views out to the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains, including the popular backpacking destination below in the Rae Lakes valley. We enjoyed extreme solitude on the mountain and on the Baxter Pass trail, seeing exactly zero others during our two day trip.
