Eyre Peninsula

Kimba, a small town with a population of about 600 is located on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. Kimba is approximately halfway between the east coast and the west coast of Australia. The eight metre high Big Galah was built by Roger Venning and family in 1993. The gel coated structure is made of steel, bird wire and fibreglass.

The roadhouse with souvenir shop features a bakery and a show room for local jade, opals, iron-ore, semi precious stones and some gems.
