This is considered one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the entire Douro region. It was from here that Miguel Torga dived into the river and immersed himself in the magnanimous landscape of this "sublimated doiro", whom he called "excess of nature" in one of his "Diaries". An excerpt from the work of what is considered one of the greatest Portuguese writers of the last century is recorded on a stone, in which the Douro is a constant presence.
