This is a nice little lake, walking distance from the centre of town. Normally people walk, run or cycle around it. But now we can skate on it. The ice has been on the lake for a while now. There has been snow and rain and then a big freeze again. I guess that is why it is so cracked and there is so much air in the ice. Its 23cm thick, so very safe, but it made some great cracking noises whilst I was taking the panoramic. Mum was scared, but not as scared as Ali who had already made a run for the shore!
