Stansbury Island, Great Salt Lake, Utah, USA
Utah

Just north and east of Grantsville, Utah, Stansbury Island can be accessed by a dirt causeway built between the salt evaporation ponds off interstate 15.  The shallow water of the evaporation ponds as well as Stansbury Bay to the west of the island often mirror the surrounding mountains.  An easy 40 minute drive from Salt Lake city, the island offers hiking and mountain biking opportunities as well as camping.
