We are now reaching the southern end of the Lost Canyon / Cañon de Los Perdidos, as it is meeting the Ica River, sustaining the few trees that survive in this extremely arid sandy desert. Indeed, the coastal desert of Nazca in Peru is one of the driest deserts on Earth.
