Soto del Real, old village huts of the Sierra is a Spanish municipality in the province and Madrid. It is located 43 kilometers from the city of Madrid. It is situated on the south side of the Sierra de Guadarrama, more specifically in this area known as Long String. The valley near the town is the Hoya de San Blas. The township is small: 42.17 km ², encompassing from Santillana reservoir to the top of the Najarra (2120 m) in the mountains through the foothills.
