This beautiful 15 gigapixel river panorama of the Wutach near the dilapidated Bad Boll in the Black Forest near Löffingen below the village of Boll was created in early September 2019. The challenge of this panorama was the very different lighting conditions in the river bed: Deep shadows of tree roots on the slope opposite alternated with sunlit limestone. Even at ISO 800, we needed a relatively long exposure time here to achieve a useful result. Normalizing the lights and shadows of the RAW files still revealed enough details that both shadow areas and the light limestone wall at the lower river bend still showed enough detail.
The panorama here is reduced to 2 gigapixels, if you need the full resolution, please contact me.
