Under the Escalante Natural Bridge, Escalante, Utah, USA
Utah

This natural rock arch was eroded in part by streams flowing under it during the wet season.  Hence, its designation as a natural "bridge" as opposed to the wind, weather and water eroded Escalante Arch just upstream.

The Escalante Natural Bridge is reached by a relatively easy 2 mile (4 mile round-trip) hike from the man-made bridge over the Escalante on HWY 12, 14 miles east of the town of Escalante.
