Castello Presule Viale Interno Ii
South Tyrol (Bolzano-Bozen)

Castle Presule (German Schloss Prösels) is a castle in South Tyrol, located in the Central Plateau Sciliar in the Dolomites, specifically in the town of Völs.

The castle is a splendid example of Gothic art, and its construction dates back to the time of Maximilian I of Habsburg in 1517, as written above the entrance portal. In fact, the Lords of Fiè, administrators of the bishops of Bressanone, built the manor as early as 1200.
The most famous owner was the Count Leonhard von Völs (1458-1530), who lived in the time of maximum splendor of the castle.
Even the South Tyrolean poet Oswald von Wolkenstein lived here for some time
