Bonnie Doon Bridge
Victoria
Bonnie Doon Railway bridge is on the Maroondah Highway, where the Brankeet Inlet arm of Eildon Resevoir is crossed. Beside the road bridge is the 385m long railway bridge, built in 1953, which ceased to be used by trains in 1978. Since 2012 the railway bridge has been transformed into part of the Great Victorian Rail Trail, a 134km long trail for walkers cyclists and horse riders. The nearby town of Bonnie Doon, relocated when the lake level rose, caters for holiday makers enjoying all forms of watersports.
