Located next to the Golden Lion Lake, Bao-an Temple is one of the greatest temples and the first of this style in Taiwan.The temple is a local religious center which mainly worships “Zhongtan Yuanshuai” (Marshal of the Center Altar).

Bo-an Temple was originally a small old temple.A great temple was built next to Golden Lion Lake by the followers later to serve the growing number of the followers.The temple took 20 years to build and construction completed in 1997 (the 86th Year of the Republic of China).It is a northern-Chinese palace style with golden-glass tiled double-eave roof.The unique and marvelous woodcarvings, stone carvings, bronze sculptures and color paintings inside the temple are quite worth watching for visitors fond of religious arts and architecture.
