Der bronzene Fischerknabe, der einen Aal in Händen hält, krönte
ursprünglich die 1886 errichtete Brunnenanlage am Bahnhofsplatz.
Im Zuge einer Platzrenovierung 1952 wurde die Anlage
entfernt. Die Skulptur fand 1977 ihre neue Heimat wiederum in einem
Brunnen auf dem neu gestalteten Altstädter Kirchenplatz.
